Therapy

It’s been a while since I posted. Well, it hasn’t been easy, my wrist is still causing me pain and frustration. Actually it’s mainly my elbow that’s acting up. You’d think broken bones are worse than a dislocation of your elbow: no way. Maybe the initial pain is different, but recovering from broken bones, in my case, is much easier than trying to get my arm straight. Just some things:

  • can’t scratch my nose while on the phone
  • can’t turn socks inside-out
  • can’t lift laundry baskets or other heavy things
  • can’t open a car door (I always do this with my left hand

And all sorts of other inconveniances. Now I’m practising daily with weights to reactivate my muscles and stretch my tendons. It’s hard, but I’ll manage. My best friend convinced me to try and be patient: “things will only get better if you give it time”. I know, but patience is not my best quality. Well it’s ony 5 weeks ago, so I don’t think I have much to complain about.
